I couldn't believe my eyes when that pregnancy test said "Pregnant." I dreamed of being a mother for as long as I can remember, and God finally made my dream come true.
"From the very first moment, I knew she was a baby girl. "
We found out at 16 weeks, and all I did from that day on was SHOP SHOP and SHOP! Her closet was full before we ever knew her name. And days couldn't pass fast enough until the day she came.
Baby girl outfit options are ENDLESS and the amount of $$ you will splurge on these one-time wear, make-your-heart-drop outfits is......well, ALOT!!!!!
After realizing that every 6 weeks, she outgrew her wardrobe, I decided to shortlist the items she wore comfortably, so when the next baby came along, I was ready!
Only to find out 3 months later that we were PREGNANT AGAIN!!!
2 Babies in one year????
That's right, here come my set of Irish Twins. I was nervous and over the moon all at the same time.
I was just learning Baby 1 and here comes Baby 2 alongside:
So here we go...
You're a new mom, you are lactating, you are sleep deprived, and you are learning a new way of life.
Oh...and to add to all that, there's a hundred other know-it-all people, aggravating you by telling you how to handle your new baby.
The first month or so, you really don't leave the house much, and if you do, it's to the grocery store and back. So, those fancy dresses/suits in size NB are ones they'll wear the least. Unless there's a holiday, occasion, or church, skip the fancy outfits.
Babies need to be warm and cozy.
Here's my list to get your thru the first few weeks (aside from cribs, carseats, strollers etc) enough keep you focused on your precious little one and your new way of life:
8-10 NB footsies (the zip-up kind, you'll thank yourself) Carter's is my go-to for these
8-10 Onesies (my babies were born in the winter, so I doubled to keep them warm)
2 boxes of diapers (try Pampers Swaddlers)
Unscented Baby Wipes (super important for newborn skin)
Aquaphor Ointment (my substitute for lotion)
Aquaphor Bodywash (great for sensitive skin)
Bottles (even if you plan on nursing, keep these handy incase your milk comes in later)
6 Receiving Blankets
2-3 Blankets
Halo Swaddle Blanket (these are super warm and help baby sleep)
6 Burp Cloths
Clippers
2 little beanies (although the hospital ones are THE BEST)
Belly Bandit (especially if you end up having a c-section)
Lastly, if it's a girl, buy a pack or two or three of BOWS!
Target is my favorite place for them.

Hospital Bag Checklist:
Hospitals these days provide basic necessities; I didn't know this, so I over packed!
3 outfits for baby (1 for each day)
Carseat Blanket
Coming home onesie
Outfit for photoshoot
Slippers for the hospital room
Socks because it's always cold
2-3 comfy outfits, (I had C-Sections, so I was there a few days)
Lotion( hospital rooms are cold and dry so germs don't spread easily)
Toiletries
Chargers
Cameras
Baby Book (incase your journaling)
Snacks incase you're hungry at night
Lastly, take a Daddy Bag, he's over the moon too! Sometimes daddy's feel left out, include him in by taking a little time to pack him his own bag, separate, with all the stuff he'll need.
That's it, friends!
Hope this helps
