Loaded Mashed Potato

Calling all potato lovers!!!


This recipe is going to be your new favorite way to eat mashed potato. This is perfect for the holidays or can be served as a side dish just about any time of the year.

I tasted loaded mashed potato first as a loaded baked potato. I then took that recipe and tweaked it into a twice baked loaded mashed potato, and it has been a crowd pleaser ever since.

So here's the deets:


Twice Baked…Loaded Mashed Potatoes!

You thanksgiving crew with thank you!


What you'll need:

5 lbs boiled Gold Potatoes

1 1/2 cup of whole milk

5 cloves chopped garlic

1 stick of butter

8 oz Sour Cream

8 oz shredded cheddar cheese blend

6 slices of hickory smoked bacon

6 large shrimp

1/2 cup chopped green onion

Salt and pepper to taste


How to:

Once the potatoes are boiled, peel and mash them together with the butter, garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, sour cream and 4 oz of cheese

Bake them in the oven for about 30 minutes

While that’s baking, heat up your stove and cook your bacon.

In the same bacon fat, cook your shrimp. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper and garlic

Once this is cooked,

Remove the mashed potatoes from the oven, top it with the bacon, shrimp, green onion and remaining cheese

Bake for 15-20 minutes covered!
