This year, my oldest turned 7 on the 7th! Her GOLDEN BIRTHDAY

Where has time gone? I feel like I JUST had her...

I asked her what kind of a birthday she would like and she said she wanted a FAIRY BIRTHDAY. Now, this mama can do princess everything, but fairies? Fairies were a little hard for me. So I thought and thought and "pinterested" for days....and FINALLY came up with the plan to just have a Spring Party!

So! Here's the deets on how it all turned out.

I used a Teepee Tent as the focal point for the living room decor.

PLUS, it was a blocker from having the kids run upstairs. WIN-WIN

I decorated it with a Floral Garland and some balloons.

I also used some wings from a previous year's Halloween Costume for a little added touch.

Now let's talk about the Food Counter:

The main dish was Pizza and Mac and Cheese, but I wanted to lay out a few fun snacks for the kids while we played games and did our activity. My food counter had some mini croissants, lemon cakes, mini cookies, brownie bites and a bowl of MnM’s! I made a Jar of Tang and called it “Flying Fuel” and strawberry lemonade aka “Pixie Lemonade”

The Activity:

Each Child got to make their own Fairy Garden

I found these cute little planters at the Dollar Tree. We drilled a hole in the bottom of each one and filled them up with Potting Soil.

Once the kids came in,

I had a table laid out with the Birdhouses and Paint Markers.

Each kid colored their "Fairy/Bird House"

Once they were finished, they got to go outside to the backyard and find a “garden”

Each child was given a bag filled with a tree, some fun stones, a pool, a garden pick, a plant tag, and some flower seeds to plant wherever they wanted. Click here for the supplies.

The finished product looked like this

Once it was all said and done, the kids all came in to wash their hands.

Get some pizza, load up on some Fairy Mac (and cheese)

We sang Happy Birthday, cut her cake and she handed out her little Party Favors:

The party favors were filled with candy, a pinwheel flute, a multicolored, a pop keychain, and some googly eyed rings.

a week later, all the little gardens started sprouting...

This party was definitely one for the books!

I hope this post helps you and inspires your next Enchanted Affair!
